4 Ways to Make Sure your Flex Work Arrangements aren’t Creating Resistance

It’s great that you’ve got hybrid work arrangements – but despite your great efforts, some employees might still be pushing back.

Here are four ways to make sure your flex work arrangements aren’t creating resistance:

1.      Develop a written policy that clearly lays out expectations. This may include working hours, communication, and performance expectations.

2.      Communicate with your team members about the possibilities for flex work and aim to achieve equality. (See my recent posts)

3.      Ask people to document their planned vs actual work hours to foster work routines and increase transparency.

4.      Use clear metrics to evaluate staff on the quality of work, not the quantity of it. This helps ensure that they are evaluated on their outcomes, not their hours.

We can help you in making those flex work conversations more productive. Hands up who wants a copy of our framework for productive flex work conversations.
