5 Best Tips to protect your team from remote fatigue

Let’s pull back the curtain on the not-so-fun part of remote work: fatigue.

Being able to work in your PJ's has its perks, but it can also feel like you're running on a never-ending treadmill - sapping your energy and productivity faster than you can say "coffee break".

But don’t stress! Here are five tips to help your team go from remote work fatigue and to remote work champions:

1.      Boundaries

Encourage your workers to set clear boundaries between work and play:

·        Ditch the PJs and wear ‘work’ clothes (they can still be comfy and casual – just not your ‘play’ clothes)

·        Create a dedicated workspace

·        Take regular breaks,

·        Stick to a consistent schedule.

Work hard, rest often, make the switch between work and home life clear.

2.      Amp up the team connection

Organise virtual team-building activities, check-ins, and even virtual happy hours! Building a sense of community and camaraderie combats feelings of isolation and keeps the energy high.

3.      Self-care

Encourage your team to prioritise self-care. Exercise, take breaks, and embrace a healthy lifestyle. Mental wellbeing is just as important as the tasks on our to-do lists.

4.      Communicate.

Communication is the glue that holds it all together. Foster open and transparent communication channels, use video calls, chat platforms, and project management tools to keep everyone in sync and in the loop. No more ghosting!

5.      Create opportunities for growth

Provide virtual training sessions and online courses to keep  learning alive. When we invest in your team's development, you increase engagement – and empower them to reach new heights of awesomeness!
