4 Key Practices every Organisation should adopt to Boost Productivity
For years we’ve been told that the way to improve productivity, is through better engagement.
According to the 2022 Global Culture Study by O.C. Tanner, this is not the case.
Instead, leaders should focus on four practices:
1. Strengthen culture
A strong culture helps team members feel connected to the organisation’s goals and values. Organisations can strengthen culture by clearly communicating their values, providing opportunities for employee input, and rewarding workersfor living the values.
2. Integrate recognition into daily operations
Recognition should not be an occasional thing. It should be frequent and integrated into day-to-day functions. There should also be opportunities for cross-team recognition i.e. team members calling out each other’s successes.
3. Provide ‘modern’ leadership

4. Be inclusive
Inclusion means creating an environment where all team members feel valued and respected regardless of their differences. One area that is often overlooked is “cognitive” diversity i.e. valuing people for how they might think differently.
