5 Challenges Organisations Will Face in 2023

COVID and lockdowns brought a reconsideration by many people, about what really mattered – and the value (or not) of work in life.

Hence the “great resignation” and “quiet quitting”.

A good salary, is not sufficient (if it ever was), for workers to stay.  Culture and purpose have become relatively more important.

As we head into 2023, here are five key challenges for organisations to master:

  1. Adapting to hybrid work: Organisations need to find ways to make sure everyone feels connected and productive.

  2. Creating new, meaningful employee experiences: Organisations will need to make sure everyone feels valued and supported, whether they're working remotely or in the office.

  3. Improving employee interaction, recognition, and development: Before the pandemic, these aspects of the employee experience typically took place face-to-face. But now, organisations need to find new ways to make their people feel seen and appreciated.

  4. Keeping people connected in changing times: Zoom calls and Slack channels don't always replace in-person interactions. Organisations will need to find ways to keep everyone connected and feeling like part of a team.

  5. Focusing on what impacts business outcomes: Leaders are starting to question the value of employee engagement as a dominant metric and instead focus on what truly impacts business outcomes.

How is your organisation tackling these challenges?  How have you adapted?
