There is no going back to pre-Covid times

"There is no going back to pre-Covid times. There is only forward – to a new and uncertain future that is currently presenting us with an opportunity for thoughtful design."

-Amy Edmonson, Harvard Business School Professor, in reference to designing hybrid work

As we speed into 2023 and a post-COVID ‘normal’, it’s evident that things are not going back to how they were before.

It's not bad news, because this new and uncertain reality gives us bifurcations point - a split between the old and the new and the chance to rethink and redesign the way we work.

It has shown us that remote work is here to stay and the traditional 9-to-5 office setup just ain't cutting it anymore.

Many organisations have moved to hybrid working models which blend remote and in-person work, allowing for more balance and flexibility for workers- and less “work–family conflict”.

It also helps with productivity and allows organisations to tap into a wider talent pool and save on office costs.

The issue is, not whether to move to hybrid - but how to best manage the transition and lead in a dispersed environment effectively.

What are you finding?  Has your organisation managed the move well and is it ‘done’? Or is there more to do?
